Pinot Grigio, Pale, straw-yellow or very light copper in color with a bright and flowery fragrance. Firm acidity gives Pinot Grigio a mouth watering appeal. Generally offers nice mid-palate balance with a short, clean finish.
Chardonnay, Washington Chardonnays are often distinctively crisp and delicate, like fresh apples. Aged with a light touch of medium toast American oak and put through malolactic fermentation to add rich vanillin and buttery nuances. Made with Washington State juice.
Gewurztraminer, a light- to medium-bodied, slightly sweet wine known for its lychee flavor and spices: clove, cinnamon, ginger, floral, white pepper. It features slightly higher sugar and lower acidity. This is the first time I am making this varietal of wine.
This Spring I decided to make 2 white wines using juice from Chile.
Sauvignon Blanc, distinctive character, fruity with lively acidity and aromas of peach and pineapple with grassy undertones Made with Washington State juice.
Merlot, a soft, mellow and less tannic red wine featuring flavors of red raspberry and strawberry. Made with Italian juice and aged with medium toast American Oak.
I felt ambitious this fall and decided to 3 red and 3 white wines using juice from Italy and Washington State.
